A broadcast email is a one-time email to an email list of subscribers.
As of now, I have four emails set up in an auto-email sequence that gets sent to new subscribers. This means that when someone new subscribes to my email newsletter, they will automatically get the emails I set up in the sequence, one each day for the first 4 days after opting in.
However, another type of email is the broadcast email, which is like a regular email that you send once to someone. In other words, it is not part of a premade sequence.
I am still in the beginning stages of putting all the pieces of my online business together. One important component is the email system.
I might have mentioned this in a previous post, but with online systems, I have experienced situations where something is not set up correctly. As a result, it is important to test everything. It would be terrible if I found out months, or even years from now, that some of my emails are not getting to inboxes!
A week or two ago, I tested the opt-in page to subscribe to the newsletter and the email sequence. Everything worked perfectly.
Now, I will test the broadcast email. When the broadcast email is sent, all four of my email addresses (I tested the opt-in page and email sequence with four different email addresses) should get the email right away.
If this works, then my email system is set up correctly and good to go!
