Why? Because of traffic. People are walking on the sidewalks and driving by in their cars. They see your store. Some will walk inside to check out what you have for sale. Some of them will buy.

It’s the same online. Whether you use social media posts or online advertisements, you want traffic. People need to see your posts or ads.

Next, you want to capture some of the traffic (#2).

You can do this by offering something. One of the best words in marketing is FREE. Offer something of value for free.

It could be an e-book, guide, video, or something else that is helpful and attractive to your audience. This will catch some of their attention.

You can create a social contract to offer something for free in exchange for information, such as their email address, name, and possibly some other basic details. It could also be to ask them to follow you on a social media app, like your posts, or subscribe to your channel.

The reason you want to get a direct action, whether it is basic contact information from your audience, a follower, or subscriber, is to follow up (#3) with them.

This might be sending periodic emails or posting content to your followers and subscribers. The more they see your content, the more they get to Know, Like, and Trust you. You build credibility. You create a following.

Last, and this is the real money-making activity, you make offers (#4).

In some of your follow-up content, you can ask your audience to check out your website with your products or services. If you are an affiliate marketer, you can ask your audience to check out products via your affiliate link.

And, to really make your offers sing, think about the 10x principle.

Try to offer additional bonuses to make the offer worth 10 times the cost.

This requires some thought and creativity, but there are likely ways to enhance an offer and increase the number of buyers.
