Hope doesn’t pay the bills.
When we embark on a new journey, we hold onto the hope that one day we will achieve a desired outcome, whether it’s reaching a goal or fulfilling a dream.
And hope is what we lean on during the journey. It helps get us through the bumps, roadblocks, setbacks, and headwinds. It is the spirit within us and the voice in our head that tells us to keep going.
Hope gives us ambition and tenacity. It gives us grit and sticktoitiveness when things get complicated or challenging. When our backs are against the wall, hope inspires us never to give up. It motivates us to work hard every day.
For if we give up, the goal or dream becomes a pipe dream. Something that was never “meant to be”.
And the reality is, hope doesn’t pay the bills. There’s no monetary value in it.
To be successful, I believe we need both hope and money. Hope is there at the beginning, and the money comes eventually.
How do we bridge the gap between hope and making money?
We achieve this by following a proven roadmap to success.
It’s knowing what to do today, tomorrow, next week, next month, and next year to guide us.
Without a roadmap, all we have is hope. However, the risk is that dreams may never come to fruition.
We can get lost and caught up in deciding whether to keep going or quit.
But with a roadmap, all you have to do is stay on it. And if you get off track, find your way back onto the path.
