Since June 1st, I’ve committed to posting at least one video a day on TikTok, and let me tell you, it’s been a game-changer.
Like many entrepreneurs and marketers, I’ve dabbled with platforms, tested content here and there, and watched others grow their followings seemingly overnight. But this time, I went all in with consistency, and the results are starting to speak for themselves.
TikTok Is More Than Just Dance Videos
Before I started, I underestimated TikTok. I thought it was mostly for viral dances and Gen Z humor. But once I got serious and looked under the hood, I realized TikTok is one of the most powerful discovery engines out there for content creators and business owners.
Every video I post is an opportunity to be discovered by new people, even when I started with 0 followers. The algorithm rewards good content, not just popularity. And when you post consistently, TikTok starts to learn who to show your content to.
Built-In Tools to Help You Grow
One of the most exciting parts of this journey has been exploring the tools TikTok gives creators. Whether it’s trending sounds, keyword suggestions, content ideas based on current performance, or even analytics that help refine what to do next. It’s all designed to help you succeed.
TikTok also offers tiers and milestones, with rewards and unlockable features that become available as you grow. It feels like a game, and those achievements are both fun and motivating.
The Traffic Potential Is Real
I can now see why so many of my marketing friends have been raving about TikTok for over a year. The traffic potential is massive. A single video can bring in thousands of views and introduce you to a new audience overnight. That kind of reach, especially for free, is something few other platforms can match right now.
And the best part? It’s just the beginning. The more I post, the more I learn, the more I grow.
Final Thoughts
If you’ve been sitting on the fence about getting serious with TikTok, consider this your sign to start. There’s room for every niche, every personality, and every type of content. Just start posting and don’t stop. You never know which video will be the one that changes everything.
With this said, one area of improvement I’ve already discovered is that one video post per day might not be enough. The people hitting it big on TikTok are posting multiple times a day, some people even post 10-15 videos daily!
The nice part is that the videos don’t need to be long. Many of mine are 10-30 seconds. So, I’m working on tactics to make multiple videos in a short period of time so I can post 3-5 daily!
Also, while generating traffic is a great advantage to using TikTok, the secondary part that I need to be aware of is capturing traffic (2nd core area of focus) through a lead magnet. I haven’t converted traffic into a lead yet, and I don’t want to get caught up trying to maximize views without taking action to capture some of that traffic for my email newsletter. It’ll be a process to do this, but I feel like I’m on a proper platform to do well.
