This week I didn’t get as much time to work on my blog, but I was at least able to set up a webpage for my ‘lead magnet’.
What is a lead magnet? It is essentially something free I can offer people who are potentially interested in some of the products I am offering.
The lead magnets I picked are two free training videos from my mentor Dean Holland and access to a new exclusive Online Business Builders newsletter I created. When I share content on social media, I can drive traffic to my webpage. People can opt-in to receive the training videos and newsletter in their email for free.
The hardest part was figuring out what to offer as my lead magnet. There were several training videos I was looking to offer, and then I had to decide how many. I thought two would be good. I can always add more, or include something else like a report I made a few months ago about how to make money online.
Then, I made a webpage to offer the lead magnet. I use a system called Affiliate Systems which is a page builder, funnel builder, email system, and more. It is all integrated so it is easier to manage everything.
I have used about four different web page builders in the past, and I can say that Affiliate Systems is really easy to use. I am really happy with it.
About 4-5 years ago, I spent $1,400 for a lifetime subscription to a different company’s webpage builder, and it was very difficult to use. I did not realize this until after I bought it!
I remember I could not get a page to look right on either the desktop, smartphone, or tablet view. No matter how I changed the formatting and padding, one of the views was always misaligned. I gave up using it after a few months. There was an affiliate program available to promote the system and make money if someone else bought the program, but I could not imagine doing this since I did not like it.
Fortunately, I enjoy using Affiliate Systems and I can see myself using it for years to come. The webpage builder is easy to learn and super straightforward. This is important because I do not want to have to go through tons of training just to figure out how to make a simple page. Hats off to the makers of Affiliate Systems.
So anyhow, I spent about an hour or so creating a page for people to opt-in to receive the free training videos and access to my newsletter.
Now that it is done, I am so happy, because I can start offering this everywhere!
