It has been a while since I wrote a post about what I am doing in my online business! It has been a busy month of strategizing. Here are some things I’m working on:
- I have created about 60 social media posts since the beginning of the year that I can repost on different social media platforms (and repeatedly post on the platforms in the future). The concept is to create ‘evergreen’ social media posts where the content does not ‘expire’ and can be put on autopilot (as part of the long-term passive income strategy). What I did was focus on writing posts about topics related to my online business, specifically how to start an affiliate marketing business, how to make money online, passive income strategies, and how to build an online business. I revised the posts about 3 times over the last 6-7 months to improve the quality of the content. With social media, the key is to post at least once daily to ensure enough people are viewing my posts so I can build an audience who will check out my blog, and eventually buy products. What I am doing with these posts is reposting them on the main social media app I use right now, Quora. The result is I can post quicker and faster than before because I don’t have to revise and proofread them anymore. The more I can post, the more traffic I get. This should improve results across the board with social media views, blog post views, and product purchases. Also, being able to put content posting on ‘autopilot’ will free up my time to work on other projects.
- Improve the Holland’s Iceberg Method free training product banner on my blog. This is an aesthetic thing, but I noticed that the banner on my blog is small and it is hard to read it. I need to make the letters bigger. Sometimes the little things are important.
- Possibly add more banners with various products to show on my blog posts. I am still exploring this concept, and will make a decision whether I want to have just one product offer as a banner, or have multiple. I might have to simply test this- see what the results are for 2 weeks with just one offer and then another 2 weeks with multiple offers.
- I’m looking into getting involved in more video content as the next state and evolution of driving traffic to my blog. TikTok seems to be a very popular app that affiliates are using to generate traffic. I’m not quite ready in terms of having enough time to devote to learning a new app, however, it is on the horizon.
- Something I want to improve is being more consistent with posting content on all of my content sources; social media posts, blog posts, and emails to my fan audience. What has been happening is I spend a lot of time on one thing, say social media posts, and then I don’t posts on my blog or send emails for a few days or a week. I want to be able to consistently have content for all of these channels. One big headwind was getting the 60 social media posts prepared. Now that this is done, posting on social media will be less time consuming, allowing me more time for blog posts and sending emails.
Overall, I really enjoy what I do. Sharing educational information with you, my audience, is so rewarding.
