Hey everyone! Sorry I haven’t been around much the last two weeks. I took time off and had some other projects to work on.
I’m back at it now. There is a lot to do. Here is a list of what I’m working on this week to give you a sense of what it is like to build an online business as an affiliate marketer.
- Finish putting blog posts into categories- after writing 65-70 blog posts, I realized none were categorized, making it difficult to find information I have posted in the past. Fortunately, I can create categories with WordPress and put each blog post into one or more. I’m halfway through and should finish up by the end of this week.
- I need to fix up some things on my blog homepage, including changing the ‘store’ where I have all the tools I use for my affiliate business and renaming it to something better, such as ‘affiliate marketing tools and systems’, which sounds better. I want people to see it and see what tools and systems I use for my affiliate business because it can help them, too.
- I changed the name of my email newsletter to the Get Rich Forever newsletter. Titles are essential as they provide a sense of what to expect. I think this name captures it all—my newsletter is geared towards the more intimate details of what I do in the affiliate business that I learned from a coaching and mentorship program. Get Rich Forever is about taking a long-term perspective on building an online company that can become a passive income asset. This takes time and is not a Get Rich Quick approach. There is a difference between doing things that work in the short term (but not forever), versus doing things that work in the long term that make my life easier in the future.
- Find solutions to my social media posts- I ran into issues with posting content on my primary platform and still trying to figure it out. I went into some detail in a blog post a week or two ago, and once I start testing some solutions over the next week or two, I’ll write more about it.
Things have been slow lately, but that is about to change!
