When I think of the necessary components of a passive income online business, automated emails are high on the list.
Automated emails are so powerful because you create an email once and it can get sent endless times to people on your email list.
What is an automated email? You create an email and have your email system send the email automatically in a specific sequence you set up ahead of time, or scheduled out at some point in the future.
For example, you can set up an email to be sent to someone immediately after joining your email list. It can be a welcome email. You do not have to send it out yourself every time someone new is added to your email list. The email system will automatically send it.
You can have another email that gets automatically sent the second day after joining your list. And another one on the third day.
You literally could have a year’s worth of automated emails if you want.
I have another business that I run, and right now I have one year’s worth of emails scheduled to be automatically sent throughout the year.
Now, I will admit that it took me a few years to write all the emails (I wrote them slowly over a few years). But now, it takes me a few hours to schedule an entire year of emails. I do not have to think about them for the rest of the year.
There are different ways to set up automated emails.
One way is through a sequence, such as what I described earlier about having an email sent on the 1st day someone joins your email list, and then another on day two, another on day three, etc.
Another way is to schedule emails to be sent at some point in the future. Maybe an email once a week on Mondays, twice a month on the 1st and 15th, or even daily.
In my other business, I do both. I have a four-day automated sequence when someone new joins my list, and then I have scheduled automated emails that go out on set days throughout the year.
Automated emails are super powerful because of the ability to set it and forget it.
In this new venture that focuses on building a passive income online business, I will highly leverage automated emails.
