LIVE: Social Media Viral Video Formula APPLIED: Part 1

Today, I’m starting to review my social media posts using the “Social Media Viral Video Formula” I’ve been writing about recently.

This will take some time, so here is my game plan:

  1. I’ll review 10 posts at a time.
  2. The posts need to contain all four parts of the formula:
    • The Hook
    • The Buildup
    • The Delivery
    • The Action
  3. Then, I want to double-check the four parts to make sure they are all well done. How is the hook? Is it a basic hook or a hook that can go viral? How is the buildup, is it good? Is it too short, too long, too wordy, too confusing, etc. The part that I think will be solid is The Delivery, which is the post’s main content. I spent much time on this the first time I made the posts. And then The Action- I decided to use action steps like asking people to check out my blog/website, opting into a lead magnet, or “liking” the post if they got value from it.

Then, I’ll begin posting them like I was before.

I thought about how to track the updated posts to see how the new posts perform.

The plan is to check the number of views on the new posts with the original version I posted in the last 2-3 months.

The older posts have been out for a while, so there might be a naturally higher number of views because it’s been available to view longer than the ones I’ll do moving forward.

Still, there should be a noticeable difference if the viral formula works.

Testing and recording stats is the best way to compare old and new posts to see what works and what doesn’t.

No matter what, what I like the most about this is that I am working on the number one component of my online business: driving traffic.

To see more progress, I have to work on the things that will help me get more views and drive more traffic to my assets, such as my website, lead magnets, and ultimately, products.
