I reviewed my Quora profile yesterday and realized some of my posts and answers had old links that were no longer working. I forgot to go back to old posts and update the link each time I started using a new URL! I might have missed opportunities because people clicked on dead URLs.
So, I spent an hour reviewing all my posts and updating the link. There were probably 30-40 posts that had to be updated. This is a lesson learned the hard way. I do not know why I forgot to do this, but whenever I stop using a URL that I put into posts, I need to update it with a new one.
Hopefully, I will not have to update or change any URLs for a long time because updating them is a lot of work.
If you post content on social media, just remember to avoid making the same mistake and update links to old posts!
