I thought about something interesting today.
This week has been full of redundancy. My main task revolves around one thing: writing content. I am writing content for my social media app and my blog—just lots of writing.
It feels a little strange to focus on just one thing. Even though I write different content each day, it feels like I’m doing the same thing.
Then, I started to reflect on what I had done since the beginning. It is pretty cool to be in a position where all I need to focus on at the moment is the #1 task for an online business, especially as an affiliate marketer, which is to generate traffic and build an audience.
I enjoy this part of it. My main focus is on writing and sharing content- all the stuff I have learned and all the steps, processes, and approaches I have found huge value in. It is fun to share all these things with people through my content.
In the beginning, I didn’t start with writing content. First, I had to register a domain name, set up a blog, change some settings, and download some plugins. Then, I had to create the home page and play around with the font, borders, margins, colors, and other features of the page.
I then had to create some web pages for my free product offer and set up automated emails for people to receive when they opt-in to receive the free product.
Eventually, I started to write content. First, I wrote some blog posts. Then, I posted on social media. I had to think about my content a lot and track my results.
Now, all the basic stuff is in place after four whole months. I can focus solely on what will grow my business: writing content and building an audience.
When I was creating the web pages and emails, it was exciting. It was all new to me, and I was learning a lot.
Now, it feels like I’m on autopilot, with fewer new things to learn. Now, it is time to do it.
This is okay, though, as I know I am on the right track, and the redundancy means I am doing the most important task I need to do now.
I must focus on creating value for others, sharing what I know and learn, and trying to help as many people as possible. This feels great.
This is a new phase in my business that I am glad to be in!
