Optimizing Traffic Generation

Hello!

It has been a little while since I released a blog post!

Why?

I’ve been busy this past month working on optimizing traffic generation on social media to increase traffic and views of my content now and in the future.

Here is how I am doing this.

First, traffic generation is arguably the most important component of any business.

Traffic includes people viewing my content. Some of those people will see my product offers, and some of those people will buy.

The more traffic I ‘generate’, meaning the more people viewing my content, the more products I should sell.

It’s like owning a retail store.

You want a retail store on a busy street with lots of people walking and driving by.

Why? Because lots of people see your store and some will decide to walk inside.

If your store is in the woods with no visibility, no on will even know it is there.

With an online business, we have no phyiscal store front.

Where are the busy streets with lots of traffic online?

Social media platforms, forums, and other websites. This is where people congregate and consume content.

So, since I have an online business, I want to be generating traffic for my content and blog on a social media platform.

Over the past 10 months, I have been using Quora, which is a forum based social media platform.

I started posting content from scratch, not knowing anything about the platform.

This is good and bad.

Bad in that I didn’t know how the platform worked and how to maximize views (aka traffic). Good in the sense that not knowing anything forced me to research and investigate the platform.

What I discovered is that Quora has lots of ‘spaces’, which are basically groups that one or more people create that has content about a particular topic.

For me, I’m looking to share content about how to grow and build an online business.

So, I found 10 spaces for things like how to make money online, business, marketing, work from home job opportunities, freelance jobs, passive income ideas, and other similar topics.

When I post on a space, I can get 50-250+ views. Pretty good.

When I don’t post on a space, I get something like 5-10 views. Much worse!

Obviously, posting in spaces makes more sense. There’s more trafic there. More people view my content.

I discovered this by looking at some people who get huge amounts of traffic.

Some of the strategies I uncovered are not really legit in the sense that they are getting away with spammy content or bait and switch type of strategies, which I stay away from.

So, to keep it really simple, the core strategy on Quora is to post content on multiple spaces.

Next, over the past 6-7 months, I created 60 posts that are evergreen, meaning the content will be relevant in the future and I can share the posts repeatedly.

I plan to repost one at a time on a regular schedule.

The nice part is that I will also rotate the spaces for each post, so a particular post won’t be reposted on a specific space for a long time.

The core strategy is to increase the number of posts I release every week. More posts, more traffic, and more views!

One of the best ways to increase traffic is to have a large pool of content to tap into so I don’t have to recreate it from scratch everytime.

I will continue creating new content on a regular basis. But now I will also post old content from my arsenal to get more posts out there every week.

Over the past 6 months, the average number of weekly posts I was able to create and release was about 5. That’s it. It takes time and effort to make content.

Now, on the other hand, I can easily post 10 a week. This should generate 2x the amount of traffic and views.

This is good progress.

Then, once I have even more content created, I can increase the number of posts to 20 a week. Then 30.

You get the picture!

Traffic generation is key.

Without it, no one will see my blog and website and product offers.

Plus, posting content is now easier than before.

I have extra time to work on other projects like focusing on my blog posts to get more of those going and make more products and share more offers with my core fan audience.

So, there you have it, I’ve been working on ways to increase traffic generation! Without it, I have nothing.
