Time management: creating content vs. working on offers and other tasks

About a week ago, I posted about changing my opt-in page offer. No one has opted in yet, and I was doing some training on how to make a perfect offer.

In the training, the main concept is that for any offer, whether it is to get people to opt-in to receive lead magnet content or a product offer, the value of it needs to be 10 times the cost.

For example, if a product costs $5, but the customer is getting $50 of value from things like extra bonuses, it becomes a no-brainer purchase. Making it as easy as possible for someone to say ‘yes’ helps to maximize the number of leads and customers.

Well, a week went by and I did nothing to change the offer. I thought about it a little bit during the week but didn’t put anything down on paper to get it going.

This past week, I focused on creating content on my main traffic source right now, which is the forum called Quora.

Since I spend about 1-2 hours a day on this business, my time is limited. I usually have to decide each day whether to focus on creating new content to get traffic to my blog and opt-in webpage or focus on other things like creating a new offer for the opt-in page.

It can be frustrating because I want to do it all every day and spend more time on it, but I run another business that takes up my other work time during the day.

So, yesterday and today I worked on a new offer for my opt-in page. It took me about 1 hour to write the new offer, and then about another hour to update the opt-in webpage and format it correctly on both the desktop and mobile view.

The offer is significantly better than the last one, so I hope it is a well-spent 2 hours to make it! Let’s see what happens.

Until next time!
