This month, I fell into a big void.
The void is a vast empty space of doing almost nothing in my business!
There are several reasons for this:
- About a month ago, my primary social media account on Quora was permanently restricted. I tried numerous times to get Quora to consider reversing this decision, but it seems there is no desire on Quora’s end to do anything. I lost all the content posted there. I heard from my other online business building friends that the social media apps have A.I. software that catches things like people using A.I. to write their posts (which the social media apps want to restrict because it’s computerized content and not original content created by real people), content that may be too promotional (which is tough for those using social media to promote a business that has products and services to sell, how do you not at some point talk about products and make an offer in a post?), content that is reposted multiple times (which is understandable, but the rules around this can be vague and unclear what falls into this category. It can be beneficial to repost specific material in more than one post), and other aspects that social media apps deem to be disadvantageous in their eye’s mind. As a result, I’ve been stumped about what to do. I either create a new account on Quora and start over again, or move to another app like TikTok, or do both. I like the idea of doing both to have a backup account in case one gets restricted again.
- My other business, which I mentioned a long time ago in some other posts, has been bustling and taking up a lot of extra time. It is an insurance business, and this time of year tends to be quieter, but instead, I’ve had some tremendous new business opportunities. These opportunities have happened because of the same business-building principles I’ve been writing about in my blog posts, my emails (for those on my email newsletter), and on social media. However, I should be finishing on these opportunities soon, allowing me to redirect my time back to releasing content here on my blog and my other channels.
As a result, I’ve been in a slump, so to speak, and I want to get myself out of it as soon as possible!
My next big project is to craft an offer for a free book I can promote through my affiliate partnership with Internet Profits, which is run by my coach, mentor, and friend, Dean Holland.
The goal is to create a video sales letter (VSL) and put it on a landing page with a headline and subheadline. I don’t make videos often, so this feels like a challenge and a learning opportunity.
So, I have much more in store in the coming weeks and months. Stay tuned!
