I recently wrote two blog posts about a new lead magnet I created that a coach reviewed.
This week, it was reviewed for a third time, and I learned more stuff!
If you are lucky enough to be reading this, here are some critically essential components to include in the lead magnet setup (in addition to what I mentioned in the other two blog posts):
- A successful bridge page has three steps (called a 3-step bridge page). Here are the steps:
- The first is to deliver on the lead magnet content you offered people. This is the first thing someone needs to see on the bridge page. Deliver on your promise.
- Second, add some bonus content. Overdelivering on your promise builds trust and credibility. Give more than expected!
- Third, include a product offer. This is where the monetization part of the lead magnet comes in. The lead magnet content is free. The purpose is to give something for free in exchange for some contact information so you can continue following up with your audience, usually via email. On the same webpage with free content, a product offer is available for people to act immediately. The product can be low-ticket or low-priced, such as a book. The product should complement the content in the lead magnet. However, remember that the product offer comes AFTER the bonus content in the second step. Having a product offer right after delivering the lead magnet content doesn’t come across as genuine. Building a relationship with bonus content is essential before asking someone to consider buying a product.
- On the opt-in page, the first letter in the headline and sub-headline should be capitalized. And like I mentioned before, the main headline is red and sub-headline is black. The button can be green, yellow, etc.
- For the copy/text of the headline and sub headline, it is good to use a sales copy generator and A.I. writing tools to come up with ideas. I did this and got one that I liked and feel comfortable with.
So now I am all done with my lead magnet opt-in, thank you, and bridge page, now I have to create an email sequence. An email sequence is a series of emails sent at different times (usually spaced one or two days in between) that are automatically sent out when someone opts-in on the opt-in page.
More work to do, but once I’m done, I hopefully will have an evergreen lead magnet that can be used for years to come!
